Information - 2001 Pride Display

"What Part of Equal Don't You Understand?"

This was the theme of the Pride Month celebrations, which took place nationwide in June 2001. These celebrations encourage the GLBT community, and our supporters, to be "out and proud", especially since we continue to fight for equality and acceptance in our lives, our jobs and in our country. Educating the public, promoting awareness and acceptance, and recognizing individual contributions are just some of the ways of achieving that objective.

In the spirit of Pride Month, GLOBE of Verizon placed large educational displays in areas of high visibility. In case you did not get to see one of the displays at your work location, below is a "virtual" Pride display. These displays consist of three panels, each three feet wide and six feet tall.

Click on the various portions of the display below to see that portion blown up for readability.
