I would like to take this opportunity, along with the chapter leadership team to welcome you to the newly formed Georgia/Alabama chapter of GLOBE of Verizon. We are proud to announce this expansion of such an outstanding organization that is founded on principals that align with our companies Core Values and for which we all follow and work toward each and every day. Our success will be achieved by providing a support network for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender employees at Verizon. We will extend our chapter by promoting awareness, education, support and understanding of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender issues facing Verizon employees and ensuring that Verizon corporate programs and policy address issues affecting Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender employees at Verizon; and by seeking partnership whenever possible with all the appropriate groups within the Verizon corporate environment and the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender communities. GLOBE of Verizon and the Georgia/Alabama Chapter is open to any Verizon and Verizon Wireless employee or retiree who supports the group’s purpose and goals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender variance.

Your Chapter leadership has worked to provide this opportunity by creating the Georgia/Alabama Chapter to improve our community involvement, outreach, internal support, and overall education for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender employees within our company and region. We would like to extend a very sincere open invitation to join our newly formed chapter. We are hoping to grow our members of friendly, dynamic, professionals from many diverse backgrounds and together work to educate, mentor and promote our members and friends. As a reminder, the Georgia/Alabama Chapter and GLOBE of Verizon is committed to promoting a work environment where all employees feel comfortable and are free from harassment and discrimination.
